The Stephen Siller, Tunnel to Towers Mobile 9/11 Mobile Exhibit is a huge semi that has been built to be a walk in experience, brought out to the people, as not everyone will be able to go to see the Pentagon memorial, The Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania or the 9/11 Memorial in New York City, New York. This traveling exhibit has been touring around The United States and Canada since 2013. In 2016 this mobile exhibit came to Southwest Florida where San the Artist for Project 911UP lives. San heard about its arrival and went out to see its exhibits. As she walked aboard the vehicle and viewed the several artifacts and stories about September 11, 2001, she realized that one of her small sculptures of Project 911UP would be a great fit. She asked if they had anything similar to the concrete slurry that was left standing after the attacks and they said no. They didn’t even know she had a project to place these all over the United States. The next day, she came back and offered the New York Firemen a 100 lb. sculpture made out of the wall at the World Trade Center. They promised her it would be placed in a prominent location for all to see as they toured the vehicle.
This sculpture is now placed on a pedestal, with a description of the wall and our mission for all to read. The Stephen Siller organization has gained National fame as providing the largest mobile exhibit, going out to the people to inform and educate all about that day. Stephen Siller perished on 9/11. He is well known as the firefighter who ran in full gear from the Tunnels to Towers to help in any way he could when you could no longer drive into the site of the attack on the World Trade Center in New York City. The actor Marc Wahlberg has supported this cause for years. In 2023 he was represented in a promotional video for the organization and the mobile exhibit and museum. You can see it under glass on a pedestal as he walks by at the bottom left-hand side of the screen shot. San gets many emails, texts and calls from people who know her saying they saw the exhibit at the many stops around the country.
