This concrete sculpture project started actually in 2006, just before the time of the 5 year anniversary of 9/11. It has seen many changes along the way from concrete pipe sculpture ideas, conceptual thoughts on meanings, to actually being able to be the guardian of the 17 original pieces of the concrete from the World Trade Center concrete slurry wall. I and others have been instrumental in company naming, design ideas of published materials and marketing in various forms.
I have spent about a month redesigning the old sancrete.com site, which I will keep on line and running for six months or so, to transition others over to the new and improved site of http://www.911UP.com. As the new name is Project 911UP, I feel that this is the most wonderful way to showcase the memorials, putting the emphasis on the project itself where it should be and not so much on my accomplishments! As an artist, we are told by many in the field that our clients decide on purchasing a piece of artwork we create, because of us. Well, I feel this concrete speaks for itself, but it needs the right direction to follow it to its completion, someone to design and create the sculptures and the right marketing to get the job done. I'm that person! The one to try to see things through. Come along for the journey and see and read about things as they develop. Don't forget to come and see the new studio also at 8568 Evergreen Ln, St. James City, FL 33956
